Personal branding is the intentional effort by a lawyer to create and influence public perception of an individual by positioning them as an authority in their industry, elevating their credibility in the process.

Personal branding is, in short, the perceived image of you by your peers or public.

However, I believe personal branding works both naturally and in a conscious (controlled) manner.

You may work a controlled brand through the means socially available, be them legal or ilegal. It is not just about the descriptions that are written about you and the trademarks/designs you may own or use.

Your personal brand consists out of the element or elements of your identity that makes you at least come out of the swarm, if not unique.

That's a good question. I think branding is something what others think about me. I can try to stay consistent with my messaging and my actions to move the general perception into the right direction but at the end it's all about what others think.ย

With personal branding, it's more important to talk about WHY you are doing something as opposed to just WHAT you are doing For example, posting that you are doing a certain internship and your key takeaways is great, but everyone else is doing the same.
